Metro's Elevator Constructors typically have a minimum of 15-years experience with commercial and/or construction elevators. We are licenses in several states including Michigan which is one of the most difficult licensing exams in the United States. Metro Elevator Co., Inc. was established by Charles & Rita Ernstes in 1970.
 

Temporary Elevator Equipment and Services We Offer

Metro provides a complete line of safe, rack & pinion elevators needed in multi-floor buildings undergoing construction or renovation. Metro Elevator has provided temporary hoists to many power plants and industrial facilities throughout the United states during outages planned for maintenance.

Metro Elevator is Family Owned

Charles Ernstes II started helping his father, Charles Sr. at Metro when he was 10-years old. After High School, Charlie went to Purdue University and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. He began working for Metro Elevator installing elevators in 1984. In 1994, Charlie became the managing Vice President and held this position until becoming President in 2006.
